Blewbury Pre-School has been providing early years education for children since 1971. Located in the centre of the beautiful village of Blewbury near Didcot, we are very much at the heart of the community. We believe that a child has the best start to their early years education in an environment where they are happy, cared for and their individual contribution is valued by all.
We offer the Early Years Foundation Stage to children from 2½ – 4 years, up to 5 sessions per week. Our aim is for the children to learn through play, so at each session we provide activities which promote learning, both indoors and outdoors.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework which is set by the Department for Education, and became statutory from 1st September 2021. This curriculum applies to all providers of Early Years’ education in England (Childminders, Nurseries, Pre Schools and Primary Schools).

Blewbury Pre-School has been operating for 50 years. Recently we went through the process of changing our charity into a charitable incorporated organisation, or CIO. Whilst this makes no difference to how our pre-school operates on a day to day basis, it does mean we now technically appear as a 'new' provider with Ofsted.
Therefore, whilst we await to receive an official rating from Ofsted under our new CIO status, we recommend that you read our previous report, which rated Blewbury Pre-School as 'Good', on the Ofsted site here
We are inspected by Ofsted following the same criteria as all settings that offer the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum whether schools, state or private nurseries.

Visits & Enrolment
You are most welcome to contact us to arrange a visit. Please telephone the Pre-School and speak to Mrs Edwards, our Playleader, who will be happy to arrange a mutually convenient time for you to have a short look around our building and introduce you to some of the staff who will be caring for your child. You will be able to ask any questions and we are happy to talk through your concerns, particularly as this can be an anxious time for you when considering whether this is the right place for your child at the start of their early years’ education. You will also have the opportunity of having a look at a session in progress.
If you would like your child to have a place with us, please download and complete the enrolment form below and return to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once your child has been allocated a place, the Playleader will contact you to discuss the settling in process. If you would appreciate a home visit for us to meet your child in their home setting, please mention this.
